Break Away Collars

While I was perusing Facebook the other day, I ran across this post from a friend:

Collars

While we always recommend break away collars, especially for outdoor kitties, this post drove home that we should be pushing harder for break away collars, even if the cat doesn’t go outside. As mentioned above, break away collars will come loose with a firm tug. This keeps your cat from getting caught on branches, fences and, apparently, register grates. While these collars help keep your cat safe, the fact that they can come off easily may leave your cat roaming without identification. So be sure to get your cat microchipped as well.
